Bruce McArthur, alleged serial killer from the Greater Toronto Area, is now facing an 8th charge of 1st degree murder.
According to the police – who still dont let much information be known to the public as the investigation is still under way, the alleged serial killer would have killed Kirushna Kumar Kanagaratnam anytime between Sept 3, 2015 and Dec. 14, 2015. Kanagaratnam’s remains were found buried in planters that McArthur, a landscaper, kept stored at the residence of one of his clients.
This is the first identified victim that doesn’t match the typical profile McArthur seemed to have set out to hunt-down his victims. In addition, the 8th victim had no evidence linking him to the other 7 victims previously identified.
The Police are now looking into unsolved cases of murdered homosexuals in the Toronto area during the 1970’s. If untampered, DNA samples may very well be suitable for testing.
Some say that McArthur could have begun his killing spree way back then, others said that the gay men found dead during the 70’s could even happen to be John Wayne Gacy Jr’s victims – John Wayne Gacy Jr. was an American serial killer and rapist. He sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978 in the Chicago area, – which doesn’t make it geographically impossible that he could have killed on this side of the Canadian-US border as well.
